Purchasing and using RedBalloon promo codes and vouchers during COVID-19

RedBalloon has made some changes to provide flexibility when purchasing experiences and vouchers. Gift vouchers are valid for five years from the date of purchase and experience vouchers allow customers to book and complete the experience within 18 months from the date of purchase. If the experience does not go ahead within the first 18 months, RedBalloon will honour the voucher for the remaining 3.5 years as a credit to be used for either the same experience at a later date or another experience.

What experiences can I purchase from RedBalloon?

How do I use my RedBalloon promo code?

1. Select a promo code from the list above and either copy and paste the code or write it down.

2. Choose an experience from the RedBalloon website. You can either lock in a date and time or buy a voucher, which you can select a date and time for later on.

3. On the right side of the screen, you'll see an order summary. Just under the total amount, you'll see the text "Use promotional code". Click on that and a box will appear where you can enter the code. Click "Apply" for your total to be re-adjusted.

4. Enter your name, email address and other requested booking details before providing payment to complete your order.

Frequently asked questions about RedBalloon

How do I get my RedBalloon voucher?

RedBalloon vouchers can be instantly printed off, or you can opt to get them delivered in a gift pack via Australia Post.

How long do RedBalloon vouchers last?

As long as you haven't already booked in a date for your experience, RedBalloon vouchers are valid for five years from the date of issue.

Where can I buy RedBalloon vouchers?

Vouchers can be purchased on the RedBalloon website.

How do I redeem a RedBalloon voucher?

At the top of RedBalloon's website, it says 'Use a Voucher'. Click on this text and you'll be brought to a redemption page. Here, you'll need to enter your voucher code (which is printed on your voucher) into the box. Click continue to book in your experience.

Does RedBalloon price match?

Yes. If you find the experience you booked from the same experience provider,date and time for a cheaper price, RedBalloon will match the price. All you need to do is take a screenshot of the price from the competitors website and inform RedBalloon within 30 days.

Does RedBalloon offer a student discount?

If you have signed up for UNiDAYS using your student ID, you are eligible to receive 10% off experiences with RedBalloon.

Can I use Afterpay to purchase an experience from RedBalloon?

Yes. Complete your order as usual and choose Afterpay as your payment method.

You can get in touch with RedBalloon by calling 1300 856 356 between 9am - 5pm from Monday to Friday.

Pros and cons of RedBalloon

Pros

  • 4,000+ experiences available. From hot air ballooning and whale watching to wine tours and dining experiences, there are plenty of options to choose from when you're trying to find that perfect gift.
  • 5-year validity. The vouchers are valid for five years after purchase which gives the recipient plenty of time to organise the experience.
  • Live chat. If you have questions about the voucher or are looking for a bit more information, there's live chat available.

Cons

  • Limited support hours. Phone support is only available between 8:30am and 5:30pm and live chat is only available between 9am and 5:30pm, Monday-Friday, making it a bit difficult to contact RedBalloon if you're a full-time worker.

Refunds, exchanges and returns with RedBalloon

If you would like to request a refund you will need to do so within 14 days of the purchase date. To ask for a refund you can call the RedBalloon customer service team, but be aware refunds do not apply to gift certificates, gifts cards, range vouchers or gift boxes. If you have received a RedBalloon voucher as a gift you may also be able to exchange the experience to another one which is more to your liking, for free. The voucher cannot have been activated to be eligible for an exchange. All RedBalloon gift vouchers are also fully transferable.

      Unfortunately that voucher has now expired. However, we still do have a code for $40 off when you spend a minimum of $169 with RedBalloon. This voucher code is XMAS40 but hurry, because it expires at midnight on the 28th November 2014.
