If you die while the Income Benefit is payable, your policy will offer a lump sum Death Benefit equal to 3 times your insured monthly benefit amount.
No. Claims arising due to mental illness are excluded from cover.
No. Your loved ones will receive a lump sum benefit which is the greater of the insured amount or the total premiums paid over the life of the policy.
During the first 12 months of cover, a benefit will only be paid for Accidental Death or Accidental Serious Injury. No benefit will be paid if you die as a result of any other cause during this period.
All policies have exclusions. For example, Medibank won't pay out as a result of suicide occurring within 13 months of taking out a policy. Trauma insurance won't pay out for cancer, strokes, open-heart surgery or heart attacks within 90 days of you taking out cover.
