Pros

  • At $25,000, Knose has the highest annual benefit limit out of the 11 pet insurers compared on Finder, around $10,000-$13,000 more a year than others. Plus, unlike most, paralysis tick doesn't come with a sub-limit.
  • Its 14-day waiting time for illnesses is about half that of other brands (30 days).
  • You can choose how much of your vet bills you want covered — 70%, 80% or 90%. The lower the percentage, the cheaper your premiums. Out of 11 policies we looked at, only 3 others let you do this.

Cons

  • It's not good if you don't want comprehensive cover. Knose comes with higher sub-limits than others.
  • We got quotes from other brands such as Woolworths, and Knose tends to be more expensive.
