Our Verdict
- This brand's Gold Domestic policy offers a whopping $50,000 cover limit for trip cancellation or amendment. What's more, its rental car cover of up to $7,500 is one of the highest sums around.
- At the time of writing (April 2021), InsureandGo offered a 10% saving on new policies. This was more than the 7% on offer from Tick.
- InsureandGo wasn't one of the five travel insurance brands we could find who offered specific cover for pandemic-linked expenses.

Hi
We are planning on travelling to Bali on 22/12/17. Are you covering any claims associated with the Mt Agung Volcano at the moment? If so, what sort of cover do you offer?
Hi Sue,
Thanks for your inquiry.
According to our review on how Mt Agung impacts your Bali travel insurance and what you can claim for, InsureandGo they can only provide cover for policies that will be issued between 7:30pm (AEST) on 6th June 2018, and 8:00pm (AEST) on 8th June 2018. You may refer to the table from the first link above to know what date and time insurers stopped providing cover for Mount Agung as well as other volcano-related issues including the Bali ash cloud.
While you may not be covered for events related to Mt Agung, travel insurance can still cover you for unexpected medical expenses, prepaid expenses and lost luggage.
Best regards,
Rench
Do you cover cancellations or disruptions to travel due to acts of Terrorism?
Hello Elizabeth,
Thank you for sending your inquiry.
Based on the Product Disclosure Statement of InsureandGo General Exclusions, under Section A, you are not covered for, page 20 of 54, #6
Any terrorist act or any loss incurred as a result of any intentional use of military force or other intervention by a government or official authority to intercept, prevent, or mitigate any known or suspected terrorist act.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jonathan
I’m a USA citizen and planning to make two overseas (Europe and South America) trips this year (total travel less that 40 days). Would any of your policies cover this situation?
John
Hi John,
Thank you for your question.
You have contacted finder.com.au, an Australian comparison, an information service and not actually InsureandGo Travel Insurance.
In order to get cover from an Australian travel insurer, most insurers will require that your trip is from or to Australia.
If you are travelling from Australia you may find our travel insurance for non-residents article helpful.
All the best,
Zubair
I’M THINKING OF GOING TO BOTH ANAA AND KIRIBATI FLY FISHING AT DIFFERENT TIMES THIS YEAR. AS BOTH DESTINATIONS ONLY HAVE WEEKLY PLANE SERVICES, WOULD I BE COVERED FOR MEDICAL EVACUATION IF NEEDED AND WOULD I BE BETTER OFF IN GETTING A MULTI TRIP POLICY BEING 71 YEARS OF AGE,
Hi Jane,
Thank you for your question.
You have contacted finder.com.au and not actually Insure and Go Travel Insurance, finder.com.au is a comparison and information service and doesn’t represent any insurance brand listed on our website.
Insure and Go Travel Insurance does provide cover for annual multi-trip policies for up to a age of 100 and will also cover you for evacuation and repatriation.
Please make sure though to read the eligibility criteria, features, and details of the policy, as well as the relevant PDS/T&C’s of the policy before making a decision and consider whether the product is right for you. If necessary, speak to the insurance brand to verify any details.
Cheers,
Zubair
We will be travelling to Europe in July from the 17th till the 19th August, were then in Venice we pick up a cruise for 7 days
returning to Venice, then flying on to Dubai for 2 days before returning home. What i want to know is do i have to take out a separate policy for the cruise.
Hi Douglas,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Many policies cover cruise as standard. Please head over to our cruise travel insurance page to find out more and to browse through the brands in our panel that offer this cover.
Cheers,
Richard
