This small island off the west coast of the mainland is home to some of the largest hotel complexes in Fiji. It also has an immaculate 18-hole golf course and some highly-rated restaurants.

As Fiji's capital city, Suva is home to a mixture of homely bed and breakfasts, corporate hotels and budget accommodation. Some, like the luxury Grand Pacific Hotel, are housed in old colonial buildings that line the main street downtown. Home to one of Fiji's two international airports, there's a good chance you'll be flying into Nadi. Despite this global connection,
Nadi is a relatively small town with a downtown centre that can be walked from end-to-end in under ten minutes.

Although there are fewer homestays about nowadays you'll still find a number of listings on Airbnb and Stayz. They're normally run by local families and offer complete immersion into traditional Fijian culture and daily life.
