November
- Singles' Day. As its name implies, this is an anti-Valentine Day's sale aimed at unattached shoppers - with an emphasis on buying gifts for yourself. It takes place on 11 November (the four "1s" in the date are meant to represent single people.) You can find out more about the sale on Finder's Singles' Day hub.
- Diwali. This Hindu festival of lights is a great time to pick up discounts on a fantastic range of consumer products. The festival itself lands on 4 November this year, and we're expecting to see a week-long sale event in the lead up to the celebration.
- Black Friday. This annual US shopping event has recently become one of the premiere shopping events in Australia, giving Boxing Day a real run for its money. Every year, more and more retailers are getting on board and the discounts seem to get better and better. Make note of Friday, 26 November to enjoy big discounts just in time for Christmas. Find out more about this event on Finder's Black Friday sales hub.
- Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday was originally conceived as the 'internet version' of Black Friday. However, seeing as most Black Friday deals are now available online the two sales have sort of merged together. Most retailers now run the same deals from Friday through to Monday, including the weekend. This year it falls on 29 November.

December
- Green Monday. Green Monday is hosted on the second Monday of December, which is 13 December this year. It marks the cut off date for delivery in time for Christmas, although recent improvements to shipping has blurred the date somewhat. Nevertheless, online retailers are likely to offer discounts for last-minute shoppers during this time period.
- Free Shipping Day. This is the last day that Australian retailers will guarantee delivery before Christmas for online shoppers. (As above, this date is a lot greyer than it once was.) Select Australian retailers will be offering free delivery on online orders on this day. 2021's Free Shipping Day is on 15 December.
- Boxing Day. Despite stiff competition from Black Friday and Prime Day, Boxing Day remains one of the biggest shopping events in Australia. It's one of the best times of year to score discounts on big ticket items like TVs and whitegoods. For the traditional shoppers out there, it's also one of the few sales on this list that will have a massive presence in physical stores. Mark 26 December on your shopping calendar.

February 2022
- Valentine's Day. The holiday for lovers has been a popular shopping event since the early 19th century. But the old tradition of gifting your valentine a card or box of chocolates has evolved to encompass every product under the sun. Retailers will therefore be offering special discounts on everything from gadgets to experience vouchers in the lead up to 14 February.
